Concern celebrate development and diversity with global family album in Derry
Between 20th – 30th October, the internationally acclaimed ‘1000 Families’ photographic exhibition was hosted in the grounds of the University of Ulster Magee campus in Derry City. Continuing its Northern Ireland programme the exhibition travelled from Belfast where it was hosted in the grounds of City Hall over August and September.
2008 marks Concern's fortieth anniversary, and the organisation wanted to find a way to explain to our supporters in Derry how we approach the complex issues of international development, while celebrating the diversity of local communities. Building Unity through Diversity is very much about exploring the links between diversity and international development and Concern was grateful to the University of Ulster for providing a forum to raise these issues, with students and the wider population of Derry. |
